Professional Documents – A Hands-On Introduction

Hosted by ARTSCO, in partnership with UBCO and The Alternator Gallery, on Saturday, November 18th (from 1-4 PM), join professional artist Katherine Pickering for this how-to workshop.
This 3-hour hands-on workshop will explore the multiple forms and purposes of artist statements, and walk participants through a variety of ways of describing their artwork, in order to prepare them to write their own statements.
This workshop will focus on artist statements, not only as a means of contextualizing artwork for the viewer, but also explore the potential of artist statements to deepen artists’ creativity and focus.
Katherine will also cover writing short biographies and artist curriculum vitae and resume.
Cost is $35 for ARTSCO members (non-members $50).
