We’re Turning Downtown Kelowna into an Art Gallery!
Our Vision
The Arts Council of the Central Okanagan would like to invite your downtown business to participate in its inaugural “Downtown Gallery” art installation project as part of the national Culture Days celebration on September 30th and October 1st and 2nd, 2016.
Our vision for Culture Days 2016 is to make the downtown core into one big art gallery with art in the window of every store! This partnership between art and business will showcase many fine downtown establishments as well as the work of local artists.
Installation Requirements
- Spaces must be safe, clean, and secure for artwork.
- Preference will given to displays with exterior-facing, ground-floor windows with space for artwork (ex. painting on an easel or a sculpture). Window space for a small Culture Days/ARTSCO sign is also needed.
- The artist must be able to post a price, a brief biography, and contact information with their piece. Sales will be handled through ARTSCO.
- Installation and take-down will be fully managed by ARTSCO in the weeks leading up and the following Culture Days.
