Festivals Kelowna produces a funky one day, arts-focused, outdoor event celebrating and promoting our local artist community.

3 rd Annual Outdoor Visual Arts Event Thursday July 27, 2017 4pm to 10pm Bernard Ave (from Water to Ellis) Downtown Kelowna

After two amazingly successful years– Arts on the Avenue is back for year three. This event features a variety of visual arts activities – from retail sales of featured artists to live performances and hands-on community engagement art projects. Artists of all disciplines will be taking over the street and sidewalks of Bernard Avenue for an evening of artistic revelry. You don’t want to miss it.

Are you an artist interested in participating in Arts on the Avenue?

If you’re artsy, crafty, or a fine artist through and through – we want you to apply! This is a celebration of Visual Arts in its many forms, providing you with an opportunity to showcase your talent. This event retains high artistic integrity through a juried selection process. Acceptance is based on the quality, originality and craftsmanship of the work to be sold. All artists are required to read our guidelines for application and apply through one of two processes.

Guidelines:

 All work must be designed/created and executed/produced by the artist.

 In some categories, such as jewellery, those who are creating distinctive work with a strong hand-made component will be considered first.

 This is an outdoor market-style event, rain or shine, and artists must provide their own substantial tent and weights (no attaching to infrastructure).

 This event runs into the evening; battery powered lights are recommended. We do not provide power.

 Artists are responsible for their display area, including set up and take down, tables and chairs. The artist must be onsite at all times; except washroom or food breaks.

 The allocation of spaces will be at the discretion of the organizer. Consideration will be taken to not place similar artists next to one another.

 Please apply in the category that most suits your art work. If you have a second art-style, please note this in the space provided on the application.

 We will be adding even more advertising to this event for 2017. Participants are also encouraged to use their social media accounts to spread the word.

 For returning artists; please note the earlier start time of 4 o’clock. You get an extra hour to sell!
